Tomorrow one of my best friends is getting married and despite the issues, I couldn’t be happier for her. See, she had a bad breakup but didn’t give up on love, she didn’t automatically assume every guy would lie and cheat on her. She instead believe in the best in everyone (even the girl her ex cheated on her with), instead she opened her heart once again and knew that every guy, every situation, was different and because of that I can truly say that despite everything she’d had to go through to get to this point, she is awesome.

I only say this because out of my three best friends, only she had the courage to really stand up for what she wanted and come out on the other side better for it. My friends have experienced love in very immature ways and now that i have one whose truly experienced love (in a real way, not the “I just want to get into your pants” way) I can honestly say those others are kidding themselves. Love doesn’t come without some sacrifices and unless you’re ready and willing to make some, you may need to rethink yourself and your decisions.
